eClinical Works - CNEX Configuration Steps

Steps to finish and complete CNEX deployment working with eCW.

Click here for a downloadable document.

Site must have EHR version 12.0.2.04000407 or a version greater than or equal to 12.0.3.04009267.

The following steps are preformed between the customer and their EHR:

  1. The first step in the process is to have the site activate the integration, "Clinical Note Exchange", inside their eCW instance.

    1. The activation code is: "c212cd8db27a4860"

  2. In order for the site to activate the CNEX integration they must...
    1. Login to the EClinicalWorks EMR and locate
the FHIR APIs option on the Product
Activation window by clicking the Production
Activation button from the Admin menu
    2. Navigate to the FHIR APIs dashboard by
clicking the Settings button on the Product
Activation window for the FHIR APIs option
    3. Navigate to the Backend/Bulk Access Apps
dashboard by clicking the Set-up button on
      the FHIR APIs dashboard
    4. Add the App Activation Code shared by the
app developers in the text box displayed on
the Add New App tile and click on the Add
      button.
  3. After the integration is activated within your eCW environment, an automated notification is sent to the appropriate implementation and integration teams to begin the provisioning process. During this stage, several backend configuration and validation steps must be completed before the integration can become operational. This process typically takes up to 24 business hours to complete. Once all configuration steps have been finalized, the integration will become active following the next scheduled overnight restart.

Completing the CNEX Portal Setup:
These are to be preformed with the customer's admin login once the above steps are completed.
