[Partner Center](https://help.edist.com/help-articles/microsoft?hsLang=en#partner-center) October 5, 2026 # Accepting a GDAP Authorization Request **What is a GDAP authorization request?** A GDAP authorization request is an invitation to allow a partner to administer Microsoft products for an organization using specific Microsoft Entra roles. The request is accepted through the Microsoft admin center. How do you prepare the customer profile before accepting the request? Complete the customer profile in the Microsoft admin center before accepting the invitation. 1. Open the customer profile in Microsoft admin center. 2. Confirm the customer profile is complete. 3. Wait a few minutes for the profile update to refresh if needed. 4. Open the GDAP invitation link. 5. Sign in with a user that has Global Admin permissions. 6. Review and accept the request. What roles are included in the request from eDist? The requested Microsoft Entra roles include: - User administrator - License administrator - Dragon administrator What does each role allow? - **User administrator**: Manage users and groups, including resetting passwords for limited admins. - **License administrator**: Assign, remove, and update license assignments. - **Dragon administrator**: Manage the Microsoft Dragon admin center. How long is the relationship active? The authorization request is set for **365 days** and the admin relationship is **auto-extended by 6 months**. It can also be modified in the Microsoft admin center. What happens after the request is accepted?
